Arlen Specter Should Just Retire.

Arlen Specter's switch to the Dems is definitely bad news to a battered GOP that can't afford to lose one of it's few remaining moderates. But the switch might not be as good for the Dems as they would think if he plans to vote the same way he always has. Specter admitted that the only reason he switched was because the polls showed he couldn't win as a republican, it's obvious he's only looking out for himself and isn't going to advance a progessive agenda. Obama won PA and the democrats can win the senate seat without Spector on the ticket, so what do they need him for? The Dems should nominate a progressive, not a disgruntled republican.
